Hey Boss Mama!

SO you want to know what my 3 Marketing Musts are?

Well, I’ve got all three just for you.

Everyone mistakes marketing for selling, when in fact, selling is it’s own entity.

Marketing is something that you’re doing all the time as business owners…whether you’re on the clock or off. The truth of the matter is that marketing, branding, and selling definitely go hand in hand.

But for right now, we’re going to dive deep into the three components of marketing that every business owner needs to have when successfully converting followers into customers.

Read this article to learn all three!

  1. Consistency

Just like with anything else, if you want to see growth happen you have to be consistent. So what does that mean? It’s going to take more than one time to show up to the party to gain some eyes on what exactly it is that you do. This means spending your efforts showing up consistently online and managing the projects that you’ve committed to. Don’t feel bad if you can’t juggle them all, this means you’re only human! I want you to really focus on things you can show up on in your business (social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and do it in a committed fashion. If you want to post once everyday during the week, then do that for a month and see what types of engagement you’re getting and then anything you add is just extra value you’re giving away!

There should be consistency in your messaging as well.

For example, if you say you’re a business consultant the content you share should align consistently with what your business says it does . Meaning one day you share business advice, and then the next you’re a blogger on Instagram….make sure everything is consistent.

  2. Clarity

Your messaging should align with what you say you do. Just like posting consistently and making sure your messaging is said over and over again, people need a clear understanding of what your business serves to do. If you want your followers to tell their friends and family about you, you must be able to articulate it well to them. You should also make sure that you have clarity around who your business is meant for. If you can’t speak to that target audience, then how do you expect to reach them and gain momentum? You need to be clear, concise, and focused to stream in successful customers.

  3. Connections

Speak to your target audience as if you KNOW who they are. Speak to them as if you know where they’ve been and you understand their concerns. This doesn’t mean selling ALL the time! Selling doesn’t work when you haven’t built connections. When you have successfully found loyal customers for your business, this means you’ve built a trust within that relationship. Before your customers come to buy from you, they have to KNOW, LIKE, AND TRUST YOU. In order for them to gain this type of relationship from you, you must create content that authentically speaks to one focused audience with VALUE! Give potential customers the experience you want them to have when they buy from you as well. So whether you have a brick and mortar business or an online business, it’s essential that you give valuable content for your target audience that gives them the experience of what it would be like when they buy or hire you!
