Content Planning is a great way to have in place as part of your marketing strategy as it saves you a significant amount of time in the long run, which if you’re like me you know this is going to be so valuable in both life and business.

So how do we create a content planning schedule that’s going to get us visible, seen ,and our offerings in front of our ideal client. Plus, we want to stand out…right? Can we really achieve all of those things when it comes to planning our content? YES, YES, AND HECK YES.

Content is a great way for us to attract our ideal customer. We want to be seen as an authority in our industry, especially if the industry we’re in is saturated. Planning out your content is going to be KEY to providing that authority you’re looking for.

Here are a few ways that you can start planning your content right now!

  1. Plan according to what you are selling

Knowing what you’re selling that month or quarter, is going to provide so much clarity around what you’re going to be sharing as part of your marketing strategy to highlight your offering. You want to make sure that you are super clear about what you’re going to promote because this is going to help you stay laser focused on what topics you’re going to address so your followers see you , your business, and your offerings, as the solution to their problems.

  2. Plan what type of educational content you’ll be teaching

Part of what your content should include are educational pieces. All of your valuable content should be benefiting your ideal customer in their life or business so they want to come back to you every single time. So you need to figure out what is it that you’re an expert in? What types of transformations does my offering provide? What does my offering teach my dream customers? Your answers there are educational components that you can plan each week as talking points that would highlight your particular offering that you’re promoting that month.

  3. Map out how often you can show up in each platform

It’s important to have a strategy for each of the platforms you’re online. So whether you have a blog, YOUTUBE channel, a podcast, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. you need to make sure you can maintain a posting strategy on each of them. The benefits of being on more than one platform is that you can reach a greater audience if you’re able to show up consistently and with value. So, outline all of the platforms you’re on and decide how often you’re going to show up and what you’re going to be sharing. That way you’re not feeling so overwhelmed and obligated to do more because you’ve already created a plan for each one of them and you’re going to do it consistently.

  4. Plan out your posts for everyday that you plan to show up.

If you’re like me and life changes on the day to day basis, be sure to have a week’s worth of content ready to go. Each day have an idea of what you’re planning to post. Topics you should be sharing that would give your followers a clear picture of what you do and how you can help them solve their current problems are: INSPIRATION/PERSONAL INSIGHT, EDUCATION VALUE, AND YOUR OFFERINGS. All of these things should align with your brand, what your business has to offer, and the products or services you provide.
